MFM ANNOUNCEMENTS
Watch the new video about Minneapolis Friends Meeting! Ellie Walton from Thee Quaker Project filmed Meeting for worship earlier this month, and interviewed members and attenders for a “Meet the Quakers of MFM” video. Click here to see it on our homepage. This six-minute video is a fantastic introduction for anyone who is curious about the community or about Quakerism. We hope this will help folks find their way here.
TODAY! Let’s Celebrate Our Wonderful Employees. Sunday, March 29 is a special day at the Minneapolis Friends Meeting. At midmorning program, we will learn more about each of our five employees. Afterwards share in the celebration, thanking them for their hard work all year. Our Meeting is enriched by the dedication and integrity they display in their work for us.
TODAY! Update re: postcard writing. Peace and Social Concerns Committee’s monthly postcard-writing session, usually hybrid, will be in-person only on Sunday, March 29.
March 31 marks the end of the current fiscal year. If you have reimbursements requests for the current fiscal year, please submit the request to the appropriate committee clerk (for their initial) and to the Office Manager so reimbursement can happen before the end of the fiscal year. Reimbursement request forms are in the top of the blue box on the long table in the east hallway. Thank you, Friends.
Budget Matters: Preliminary numbers show that contributions to the general fund from April 1 through March 1 totaled $125,908 – about 91% of the total budget ($138,000). We are about $12,000 short of meeting our budget obligations. There is a donate tab on the MFM website (click here), offering boxes are at the entrances of the meetingroom, and checks can be received by mail. If you would like to set up automatic contributions to the meeting, contact Carolyn, clerk of Stewardship and Finance Committee. THANK YOU, Friends, for your generous support of the meeting!
Three brand new windows were installed above the main entrance of the Meetinghouse. Look up and you’ll see how nice the improvement is.
