MFM ANNOUNCEMENTS
Support Minneapolis Friends during the FNVW Holiday Fair. Minneapolis Friends is still looking for a few folks to help. If you wish to volunteer for any of these roles, click here for the volunteer schedule. Or, you can contact John K. Needs include: 1) Move chairs in the Meeting Room and furniture from the Conference room on Sunday, November 30 in preparation for the FNVW Holiday Fair set up. 2) Be present during the FNVW setup and the Fair. You would fill a 4-hour slot as a direct contact for the FNVW folks to answer questions and make sure the FNVW folks are careful with the Meeting House.
Snow emergency parking rules. When the city of Minneapolis declares a snow emergency, parking rules take effect so plows can clear the streets.
- On Day 1, overnight from 9:00 PM — 8:00 AM, do not park on a snow emergency route. These are marked with a red Snow Emergency Route sign and a blue street name sign.
- On Day 2, from 8:00 AM — 8:00 PM, do not park on the even side of the streets that are non-Snow Emergency Routes. Do not park on either side of parkways.
- On Day 3, from 8:00 AM — 8:00 PM, do not park on the odd side of streets that are non-Snow Emergency Routes.
Click here for the city’s webpage with more detailed information to sign up for text, email, and phone alerts. Or stay informed by calling 612-348-SNOW (7669), texting MPLSAlerts to 77295 for Snow Emergency Alerts, or downloading the MPLS Parking smartphone app.
Joining the MFM Google Group is an easy way to engage with the Meeting – to share and see articles of interest, participate in informal discussion, to receive reminders from other Friends about upcoming events. To sign up, simply send an email request to Roland B. For more about the MFM Google Group, click here. Also, to keep abreast of Meeting news, you can find bulletins, events, and monthly meeting minutes on the MFM website (click here).

Click here for a PDF of route 36, which will travel between Edina and Uptown Transit station, stopping near the meetinghouse on Xerxes Avenue. Click here for a PDF of METRO E line, a north/south express bus that makes stops along France Avenue. Questions? The Fulton Neighborhood Association is hosting informational sessions about the new E-line and these bus route changes on Tuesday December 2 at 3:30 PM and 7:00 PM at Pershing Park (48th Street & Zenith Avenue). No RSVP required — just stop by.
When you enter the office, please put on an N95 mask. There are free masks directly outside the office door, or you can bring your own. You’re welcome to drop by the office to say hi to Ariel, give him a bulletin announcement, request a zoom link, or ask for help with something else.
To sign up as a second hour worship greeter, see Mary S at the rise of meeting. This is a great way to get acquainted with others.
