TODAY’S WORSHIP AND PROGRAM
9:00 AM – 10:00 AM Unprogrammed Meeting for Worship
Care of meeting: Joanne Esser
Zoom host: Bill H
10:00 AM – 11:00 AM “What’s On Your Mind?”
The Mid Morning Program committee will moderate a session about the things that are of concern to you. We will put out the question, “What’s on your mind?” and based on the response, decide which topics we dive into. It will be relatively free-form. Of course Quaker topics and spirituality are favored, but this is also open to local and world events (preferably with a Friendly perspective). It will be interesting.
Zoom host: Kate W

MFM ANNOUNCEMENTS
Last chance to pick up your Lost & Found items. Outside the kitchen in the basement, Lost & Found items are collected on a coat rack and the box below it. Please take what’s yours by 12:30 PM this Sunday, October 19. Coats, jackets, and other leftovers will be donated to the Sanctuary Supply Depot, a mutual aid group in Minneapolis that distributes basic necessities to our houseless neighbors.
If you will attend the October 26 MMP via Zoom, let Ellen S of C&C know so she can snail mail you a hand-out you will need for that Mid-Morning Program. Small group discussions will be based on this hand-out, which Roger says is too big for the Zoom screen. For those attending in person, handouts will be available at the meetinghouse.
Linda H has a new address. She moved this summer, and her contact info was accidentally omitted from the summer meeting directory. Ask the MFM office manager if you don’t yet have a copy of Linda’s new address. Email and phone remain the same.
MFM EVENTS
Read on for new and one-time events held by Minneapolis Friends Meeting. There are also ongoing groups in the meeting. Pick up a flyer about ongoing groups from the infomation table in the meetinghouse hallway, or email the office manager to request a digital flyer.

November 1 (in person). LGBTQ+ Friends Update re: Valley Scare Outing. On Saturday, November 1, Lavender and Jaide are a scary pair at spooky Valley Scare. Let go and be spooked. About the movie: “Crossing Delancey” has been described as “the ultimate Jewish rom-com.” Izzy Grossman, a modern, independent woman works in a West Side bookstore and idolizes the literati, but her comfortable world is disrupted when her Lower East Side, Yiddish-speaking grandmother hires a matchmaker for her. Izzy finds herself torn between a married, worldly author and a down-to-earth pickle vendor.
