The meetinghouse is again open for in-person, public worship. Hybrid worship is now supported so those unable to, or uncomfortable with, coming to the meetinghouse can worship via zoom with those gathered here; link available from the office.

Mid-Morning Program next Sunday at 10:15: Vocal Ministry Discernment. Come hear about the preparation and discernment processes used by some Friends, including Roger Miller, Jeannette Raymond, and Carolyn VandenDolder. There will be time for questions.
The Peace and Social Concerns Committee will show the film Harriet THIS Tues, March 1, at 7PM via Zoom. Harriet is the dramatization of the life and work of Harriet Tubman who, in the 1840s, was enslaved, escaped, and then helped more than 70 people to freedom. Discussion will follow. From Ministry and Counsel Committee (M&C): If you feel led to share a prepared message or a reading during semi-programmed worship, contact Bill or other members of M&C. M&C is also looking for closers for both worships. Serving as a closer is a ministry of service to the meeting.
The Peace and Social Concerns Committee is tasked with nominating a recipient(s) of the meeting’s voluntary carbon tax, $1,000 that is included in the annual budget. Recipient(s) promote environmental protection and/or work to address global warming; preferably are local; and should not have been an MFM recipient within the last three years. If you have a suggestion(s) to be considered, contact Deborah by TOMORROW, Feb. 28.
Friends Committee on National Legislation uses bi-annual input from monthly meetings to set priorities for lobbying Congress. Please send your suggested priorities to Jim H. or Doug H.

Spirit-Led Climate Action Among Quakers: Learn more about how Quakers are taking action to mitigate climate change. Speakers: Hayley Hathaway, communications director for Quaker Earthcare Witness and Paul Chistiansen, member of East Side Meeting in Bellevue, WA, who travels in the ministry with a concern for climate change. White Privilege Conference, March 9-12, in Charlotte, NC. Friends General Conference is offering a pre-registration form for the conference, providing a lower group rate cost.
