THINGS YOU MIGHT WANT TO KNOW
The fall schedule will resume on September 19th: 9AM worship (unprogrammed); 10:15AM mid-morning program; 11:15AM worship (semi-programmed). September 19 and 26 worship and programming will continue to use the same link as today.
OUR NEW AUDIO/VIDEO SYSTEM NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT. The meeting has approved installing a new audio-visual system in the meetinghouse to make worship and gatherings accessible to those who cannot attend in person. If you contribute toward funding this new A/V system before the end of Oct, your gift will be doubled by a $10,000 matching grant we have received from an anonymous donor. Please consider giving something now to double the value of your gift. Make checks out to MFM Trustees and put “AV system in the memo line.” You can send checks to the meetinghouse office (4401 York Ave So, Mpls 55410) or directly to the clerk of the Trustees.
Planned vocal ministry: Take the opportunity to nurture and encourage each other! If you think someone has a message for the meeting community, recommend them to Ministry and Counsel Committee or encourage them to speak with someone from M&C themselves. Likewise, if you feel you have been given a message to share, contact Bill so a Sunday may be made available to you.
Fall Together at Fish Lake: The Fall Together Committee is considering an outdoor gathering of vaccinated Friends at Fish Lake Regional Park on Sat, Oct 9th, 1–5PM. Would you attend? On the tentative schedule: worship, a scavenger hunt, hiking/biking, and other fun activities. Fish Lake s beautiful and inviting, and it would be lovely to share time with each other, enjoying the park. Children warmly welcome, since we’ll be outside. The committee is happy to plan the event if there is interest. Please contact Clifford by Sun, Sept 19 if you would come.

How have Friends collaborated with and sustained the global system of White Supremacy? George Fox, the founder of the Religious Society of Friends, envisioned a revolutionary religion which asserted that every person can have a direct relationship with God, the seed, planted in each of our hearts. What structures prevent Friends from living into these beliefs and growing God’s seed? More and register, here.

Letting Go: Embracing Autumn; Sun, Oct 3rd, 6PM. Each new season invites opportunity to change and adapt. Fall inherently includes letting go of things, but letting go can also invite a new time. How does what you let go of become mulch in the ground of your life? What do we as people learn from the land which needs time to rest and renew? Join Anne Supplee and Maia Twedt (TCFM) as we experience the act of letting go and acknowledge darker days and longer nights. Share in a ritual of putting things to rest. Be together as we prepare for a seasonal shift. Offered through Anne and Maia’s new collaboration, Way Opening Workshops. Email way.opening.workshops(Replace this parenthesis with the @ sign)gmail.com to receive the link to this 75-minute Zoom gathering.
