From Friends Committee on National Legislation: the U.S. House of Representatives will vote, expected on June 17th, on House Resolution 256. HR256 repeals the 2002 Congressional Authorization for the Use of Military Force, which was aimed at Saddam Hussein. FCNL hopes Quakers will call their Representative to encourage them to vote, to make it clear that Congress should reassert its Constitutional authority over declaring war. Jim and Doug are MFM representatives to FCNL and can answer questions.
Zephyra and Roland Shepherd created the Shepherd Scholarship in 1977 for the post-secondary education of Minneapolis Meeting members or children of members.
