MEETING SCHEDULE AND PROGRAM
TODAY
9:00 – 10:00 meeting for worship (unprogrammed): care of meeting, Doug Herron
10:15 – 11:00 In response to the Derek Chauvin trial and the flood of issues and concerns we have experienced this year, we will care for each other in small groups. Participants will select one of five possible groups. Facilitated by the Care and Counsel Committee.

First day school for youth: Madison Meeting has invited young friends to join other Northern Yearly Meeting youth on Sunday mornings.
~ Elementary youth (6-13) will gather 10-10:45AM for Getting to Yes: Negotiating agreement without giving in. Have playdough or pipe cleaners handy to keep hands busy!
~ Littles (ages 3-6) will gather 10:45-11:15 to learn about making friends by sharing. Read the story, Four Feet, Two Sandals,and decorate paper people chains (pattern attached. Other materials needed – scissors, markers, glue stick, tissue paper, tape.)
~ Teens (ages 13-18) will gather 11:15-12:15 and continue to explore gender discrimination, visiting with Maka, age 16, who started a non-profit, Educate a Girl. Contact office(Replace this parenthesis with the @ sign)minneapolisfriends.org for the link to join future sessions.

OPPORTUNITY TO CONNECT WITH MINNEAPOLIS MEETING FRIENDS
Mid-Morning Program next Sunday at 10:15: Think you know your Quaker alphabet soup? Come to this introduction to Friendly acronyms – what they stand for and the relationship between Quaker organizations. Presented by the Welcoming and Outreach Committee.

The MFM group exploring police reform will be gathering this Tues, 7PM. Deputy Chief Amelia Huffman will discuss recruitment and training, with a focus on women in policing. Contact John or Stephen for the link.

OPPORTUNITIES TO CONNECT WITH OTHER FRIENDS
Northern Yearly Meeting 2021 Annual Session, May 27-30: “Gonna Keep on Moving Forward.” Yearly Meeting will start Thurs night with a special plenary by the anti-racism working group, will have programming for children and youth as well as the not-to-be-missed talent show! Register your elementary-age child by May 1st to receive supplies for their program. Registration deadline for everybody is May 1.
The Friends General Conference Gathering will be virtual and pay-as-led this year, June 27-July 3. This is a low-barrier opportunity to check out all or parts of the Gathering.
