First day school for youth at 10:15: Madison Meeting has invited young friends, ages 3-13, to join other Northern Yearly Meeting youth on Sunday mornings. This Sunday, 10-11AM, celebrate Earth Day with activities, coloring, seed planting, reading We Are Water Protectors, and a meditation on water. Materials needed: the provided mandala coloring sheet, seed pots, soil, marigold seeds, pea seeds, pitcher of water, a glass for each child, crayons, markers, or pencils. OPPORTUNITY TO CONNECT WITH MINNEAPOLIS MEETING FRIENDS
Mid-Morning Program next Sunday at 10:15: Minneapolis Meeting and Singles. How do we care for those who are not in a marriage or partnership? Do single people have different needs? What are the diverse ways of being single? What is your experience of being a single person in the meeting? A short presentation followed by discussion, offered by the Care and Counsel Committee.

Ranae Hanson and her new book, Watershed, together with Marie Harris and Derartu Berhanu, Ranae’s former students – now friends – whose stories appear in the book, will be featured in Minneapolis College’s Community Pollinators Speaker Series at 1PM on Friday, April 23rd. The interview will consider ways humans can address environmental injustice, deal with our own communities’ climate crises and health challenges, and do better justice to the non-human residents of our ecosystems.
