10:15 – 11:00 Regenerative Agriculture: Climate Panacea? Regenerative agriculture has the created excitement in environmental circles because of its potential to draw carbon from the air and put it in the ground on a planetary scale. Terry Hokenson will talk about his investigation of this promise and whether the reality is compatible with racial and social justice concerns.

First day school for youth at 10:15: In order to better match first day school with student and family energy and zoom tolerance, we will have first day school / programming for youth on the first and third Sundays of the month. There is no programming today.

Winter Envelope Gift: Every winter, Minneapolis Meeting designates organization(s) or programs to receive a one-time gift, outside the Meeting’s annual budget. This year’s recipients respond to current crises in our community.
~ NorthPoint Health and Wellness Center Food Shelf – serving the North side of Minneapolis and people who have been particularly hard-hit by COVID, NorthPoint offers pantry items, miscellaneous nonfood items, baby food and diapers, and produce. Financial donations allow discounted food purchases, buying to fill holes in inventory, and fresh meat, milk and eggs.
~ Friends for a NonViolent World’s Bridging the Divide: Policing that Works for Everyone – Bridging the Divide works to create policing that is characterized by equity, professionalism, partnership with the community, and respect for the dignity of every member of our society.
~ To contribute to the Winter Envelope Gift, make checks payable to Minneapolis Meeting with “Winter Envelope Gift” in the memo line and mail to Minneapolis Meeting, 4401 York Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55410.

Mid-Morning Program next Sunday at 10:15: The Social Model of Disability. Lolly Lijewski and Jane Downes will facilitate a discussion of the current thinking about the Social Model of disability, Disability Rights, and how disability awareness affects our Meeting.
The Writing Group will have an informal writing session this Tues, Nov 24, 7-9PM. Connect with each other through writing with prompts and sharing what we write. Loaves and Fishes, Mon, Nov 30: Join other metro-area Friends, the Ismaili Community and the Mayim Rabim congregation to provide a nutritious meal at Holy Rosary Church in S Mpls, 2424 – 18th Ave S. Prepare chili burrito, fruit, and salad (2-4:30); pack up and hand out the meals (4:45-6:30,) or clean up (5:30-7.) Fruit donations are needed: dropped off at Holy Rosary after 2 on Mon, or with Sue (3612 – 46th Ave S Mpls) or Ann (3845 Harriet Ave S Mpls) on Sun the 29th. Friends for Nonviolent World virtual Holiday Fair is open NOW through Nov 29 at FNVW.org
~ Shop for books, crafts, brownies, handmade quilts, music, previously loved treasures, holiday trees and wreaths, as well as enjoy music, the virtual café with programs and visiting and more.
FNVW programs continue during the time of COVID. This is an opportunity to support them as well as shop for your friends, your family, and yourself.
