Bulletin: June 7, 2020
Wanting to know how to contribute to constructive next steps in the wake of George Floyd’s murder? While Minneapolis Meeting has not designated specific organizations or agencies, the following information has come to the office and may point you in a direction that feels right to you:
~ Food shelves (like the Division of Indian Work and North Point) and meal programs (like Loaves and Fishes) are in need as many people have lost work due to Covid and now have lost their local grocery source.
~ There are avenues to help local businesses rebuild and neighborhoods get restored. WCCO has put together a list and Lake Street, West Broadway, and Midway neighborhood organizations have developed ways to help fund rebuilding.
~ Quaker Volunteer Service has put together a resource for discerning what might be next for you: https://www.quakervoluntaryservice.org/what-is-your-right-next-step/
