10:15 – 11:00 Come make a joyful noise and take advantage of this opportunity for mid-winter celebration and fellowship. First day schoolers, grades 1-6 will participate in the fun upstairs and will have no programming downstairs. Steve Snyder, Tom Wells, and Dave Bostrom musicians.

UPCOMING MEETING EVENTS
Mid-Morning Program next Sunday at 10:15: One-to-One Conversations – A Foundation for Changing Our World. Joey Giffen-Hunter will relate his experience with TakeAction MN, creating a foundation for transforming our world through one-to-one connection.
Nominating Committee is at work to match Meeting needs with member / attender gifts and ministries. Please return phone calls from Nominating Committee members who reach out to you. NEEDED: individuals to serve on the Stewardship and Finance (S&F) Committee. S&F does such important work on behalf of all of us! Committee members have clear roles –
~ Contributions: one or two individuals comfortable with working/learning Quick Books on the computer, logging donations, creating and making the deposit, (including, taking it to the bank). This takes about an hour a week – and need not be done on a Sunday. Schedule determined between the two volunteers.
~ Long Range planning – investigating and making recommendations to S&F about socially and fiscally wise places for us to keep our reserve funds.

The Nursery Committee, on behalf of the Meeting, seeks the right person to work with the little ones in the nursery. The work hours are Sundays during the school year, 8:45-12:30; and 9:45-11:15 during the summer months. The pay is $15 an hour. For more, contact Betsy, Emily, or Sara.
The Watson Reading Group will meet on Tues, Feb. 18th, at 7PM here at the meetinghouse. Currently reading Testament of Devotion, by Thomas Kelly, we read aloud and reflect on how these and other texts can help us lead Light-centered lives during uncertain times in the world. Everyone is invited.
A MFM Writing Group will meet Tues, Feb 25th at 7PM – a fun and informal evening, with no preparation necessary. Everyone welcome, no commitment — drop in once or come when you can. Meet at Jane and David’s home in Hopkins. For questions or directions, contact Jane.

Friends for a NonViolent World is seeking potential new board members, responsible for developing, defining, and reviewing the organization’s mission and providing overall leadership and strategic direction. The board actively sets policy, ensures the organization has adequate resources to carry out its mission, evaluates effectiveness, and provides direct oversight and direction for the executive director. Pendle Hill’s Radical Faithfulness in Action Program: Are you engaged in social justice organizing work? Wanting to deepen your spiritual practices and connections to sustain you in your work? Radical Faithfulness in Action is designed for you. Led by Matthew Armstead and Erva Baden, it brings together a small cohort of no more than fourteen for three campus residencies (April 2-5; June 25-28; and August 20-23, Thurs evening to Sun noon) and ongoing work and support between residencies. School of the Spirit will offer, “All Shall Be Well: Contemplation in an Age of Crisis” April 16-19 at the Siena Center in Racine, WI. Led by Roger Hansen (Milwaukee Meeting) and April Allison (Red Cedar, Lake Erie Yearly Meeting). Elizabeth Evans (Milwaukee Meeting) is joining the leadership team as mentor this year. Participants will experience the Quaker manner of knowing solitude in community. Individual time for silent prayer, reflection, rest, walks and contemplative interaction with scripture and other spiritual resources; meals taken in silence; an evening spent in active silence where we gather comfortably to read, journal, do hand-work, artwork, or engage in similar quiet activity.
