MEETING SCHEDULE AND PROGRAM
TODAY
10:00 – 11:00 AM meeting for worship (unprogrammed): care of meeting, Tom Hoey and Barbara Ziegenhagen; Lin Butler (mic)
Following the closing handshake, we will take time for introductions, and there will be a few moments to share joys and concerns, followed by pre-arranged announcements. Preferred practice is to put announcements in the bulletin. After-worship announcements, when needed, should be brief.
You are welcome at the potluck today at the rise of worship. Please come enjoy food and conversation whether you brought a “pot” or not! To regulars – look for ways to help the effort: replenish plates and utensils; clear, wash, dry and put away dishes; clear, wash and put away tables and chairs. Build community by sharing the labor!
HOLD IN THE LIGHT
All those who are feeling diminished – by physical discomfort, grief, isolation, and other burdens.
UPCOMING MEETING EVENTS
Monthly meeting for business will be next Sunday at 11:00 AM. “The Quaker corporate decision-making process is a spiritual discipline needing trust, patience, a willingness to listen, mutual forbearance, a concern for and openness to others with differing views, and the grace of humor. The care with which we conduct our decision-making is often critical to the enduring harmony of the entire meeting. At its best the result reflects the transforming power of the love of God, an exhilarating and joyful experience.” ~Northern Yearly Meeting Faith and Practice. Come be part of the experience.
Come make the meetinghouse sparkle! The annual clean-up day is Sunday, August 18 after the rise of worship. Plan to stay long enough to wash a couple of windows or chairs and tend to this space that creates a home for us all.
