MEETING SCHEDULE AND PROGRAM
TODAY
10:00 – 11:00 AM meeting for worship (unprogrammed): care of meeting, Terry Kayser and Lolly Lijewski; John Dunham (mic)
You are welcome at the potluck, downstairs TODAY at the rise of worship. Please come, whether or not you were able to bring something to share! To regulars – look for ways to help with this do-it-ourselves affair, especially helping with clearing, washing, drying, and putting away dishes as well as washing and putting away tables and chairs. Thank thee kindly!
TODAY, Diane Randall, Executive Director of Friends National Committee on Legislation, will be worshiping with us and, it is hoped, will be able to stay for conversation over potluck – talking about Quaker action and witness in Washington, DC, and how you can support efforts there!
Photographer extraordinaire, Sue, will have her camera for those Friends who want their photo refreshed or added to the gallery. Look for her in the lobby before heading down to the potluck TODAY.
Generous donations / forgotten items: Over the years, many have donated items to in the meeting kitchen or have made unwitting contributions to the lost and found box. TODAY, you are invited to scan lost and found items and surplus collected aprons, tablecloths, and silverware. Feel free to take those things you that belong to you or anything that might be of use to you. All items left will be given away.

Join some area Quakers gathering this Fri, July 12th, at noon on the Nicollet Mall and 7th Str. They will have a small sign and some slips of paper that say:
“PLEASE JOIN US! All are welcome.
We are practicing silent listening . We pose a question for Spirit and sit together in quietness to welcome any response. Some of us are Quakers and this is a common practice among Friends.
Who or what are we listening for? We don’t try to figure out or define for each other what that Spirit is.
Some call this spirit the light within, God, Allah, higher power, greater good, inner wisdom . . .
The question we are asking today is ‘What is needed to heal our city? To bring peace and justice for all?'”
Contact Nettie with interest, questions, and details.
Read Primitive Quakerism Revived at the Watson reading group Tues, July 16th at 7 PM here in the conference room. No need to read ahead – we’ll read together! One-timers and regulars – everyone is welcome!
A new writing group is starting: 7 PM Tues, July 23rd at the home of Jane – a relaxed but structured group with a focus on developing a spiritual practice through writing. Each month we’ll write and have the chance to share with each other. Everyone welcome. Contact Jane with questions or interest.
