Gender Revolution: A Journey with Katie Couric will be shown here at the meetinghouse Wed, April 24th, 7 PM. Discussion will follow the screening, facilitated and informed by several of the local Quaker Voluntary Service Fellows. Sponsored by the Peace and Social Concerns Committee.
The Religious Education (for children) Committee would like to get input about what you want from religious education in the meeting. We’re holding a listening session for an hour on April 28 at the rise of semi-programmed worship to consider questions like:
• What do we want to offer to children in the meeting?
• What is most important for children in first day school to learn about?
• What support do you need in order to feel confident taking on the role of teacher?
• Are there ways that you’d like to see the children involved in the life of the meeting, different from the way they are now? How would you like to interact with children?
• Parents – what do you want your children to get out of the religious education program here?
You are encouraged to attend. Pizza and childcare provided.
Welcome and Outreach Committee is looking for greeters to welcome folks at the two entrances each Sunday, requiring little more than a smile and a handshake in greeting and directing newcomers to the guestbook and meetingroom. If you could be an occasional greeter, please contact Sue.
Many thanks to all who have provided lunches for the Quaker Voluntary Service Fellows this year! This offered care has helped tremendously, allowing Fellows to focus on each other on program days.
