10:15 – 11:00 Bolivian Quaker Education Fund (BQEF): Visiting Friend Helen Hebben will describe what the BQEF is and will tell of the outstanding successes of some of the graduates of the programs it supports. She will also speak about opportunities for North American Friends to become involved through an annual Quaker Study Tour and other volunteer opportunities.

UPCOMING MEETING EVENTS
Mid-Morning Program next Sunday at 10:15: Seasons of Our Lives (Ministry and Counsel Committee). During changes within the meeting, we have also experienced changes in our own lives. During this mid-morning program we will consider how we remain centered during change. We’ll read together “For everything there is a season” and share in small groups.
Come one, come all, let’s Fall Together! The second annual Minneapolis Friends Fall Together is now only two weeks away! Come for fun and refreshment at the lovely and convenient French Regional Park in Plymouth. You can bring your bike or canoe, games, puzzles, and your own favorite mug. Every-other Friday, QVS Fellows will have a development day for programming about Quakerism (clerking business meetings, clearness/discernment processes, Friends testimonies and community life) and other topics. Friends are invited to prepare and drop off lunch at the QVS house on those Fridays so the Fellows can make the most of their program time. Are you willing to drop off lunch for eight on Sept 28th? Northern Yearly Meeting seeks a middle school program coordinator, starting ASAP. Please approach Friends who you think would be excellent in the position and encourage them to apply! The Coordinator is responsible for leading two retreats during the year and for leading the middle school program at NYM Annual Session. As part of the Ten Days Free From Violence (twincitiesnonviolent.org), Friends for a NonViolent World will offer an Alternatives to Violence Project mini-session next Sat, Sept 29th 12:30-4:30pm. AVP’s mission is “To empower people to lead non-violent lives through affirmation, respect for all, building and enhancing of community, cooperation, and trust.” At the mini-session, highly-skilled facilitators will lead participants through a series of activities that will help in developing skills to transform conflict.. Earlham School of Religion is currently accepting applications for the Tom Mullen Ministry of Writing Fellowship for the 2018-19 academic year. The recipient will spend the Spring Session (Jan – May, 2019) at ESR working on a “publishable” manuscript while attending a Ministry of Writing class. Applications due Oct 15. ISAIAH presents Power, Pain, Politics and Polls, a candidate forum, TODAY, Sun, Sept 23, 2-4:45pm, at New Creation Church, 1922 N 25th Ave, Mpls. Candidates for Sheriff, County Attorney and County Commissioner candidates in Minneapolis have been invited for a conversation about how we could work together to dismantle systems of incarceration and deportation at the county level.
