MEETING SCHEDULE AND PROGRAM
TODAY
10:00 – 11:00 AM meeting for worship (unprogrammed): care of meeting, Gib Pellet; Dave Bostrom (mic)
Quaker reminder: Do not assume that vocal ministry is never to be your part. Faithfulness and sincerity in speaking, even very briefly, may open the way to fuller ministry from others. When prompted to speak, wait patiently to know that the leading and the time are right, but do not let a sense of your own unworthiness hold you back. Pray that your ministry may arise from deep experience, and trust that words will be given to you. Try to speak audibly and distinctly, and with sensitivity to the needs of others. Beware of speaking predictably or too often, and of making additions towards the end of a meeting when it was well left before.
~Britain Yearly Meeting Advices and Queries
Following the closing handshake, we will take time for introductions; there will be a few moments to share joys and concerns; and pre-arranged announcements may be made by the closer or the person who has made the prearrangement. (Preference and general practice is that all announcements be submitted for the bulletin.) Please be sensitive to the need Friends might have to be released so they might go on to planned activities of their day and keep announcements brief.
Take advantage of the lazy, hazy days of summer and linger for a sip, a nibble, and a visit today after worship. Hosts are Carol, Suzanne, and Betsy.
