UPCOMING MEETING EVENTS
Lunch Bunch will gather at 11:45 on the third Thurs of July, the 21st, at Presbyterian Homes, 10030 Newton Ave So. RSVP to Sue by Wed, July 20th. If you are available in the middle of the day, consider coming! It is a great opportunity to deepen relationships with and bring news to those not able to come to worship every Sunday.
Every Sunday in the summer, there will be 9 AM picnic table discussion (inside if raining,) dealing with topics in contemporary
Quakerism or Quakers in history. A list of topics is by the bulletins – next week’s topic: How to Listen for a Leading.
The use of the microphone in meeting for worship enables vocal ministry to be heard and held by all present. Microphone carriers are needed for a number of worship times this summer. Please consider offering this limited-in-scope but very important service to the Meeting. Sign-up with Joanne Esser, or Carol Bechtel.
Last month, monthly meeting approved exploring our participation in Quaker Volunteer Service, sponsoring, along with area Meetings, a site through that program. An article on one young adult Friend’s experience in QVS is on the elevator table.
