10:15 AM Neal Hagberg, of the longtime folk duo Neal and Leandra, will present a “spiritual autobiography” portrayed in songs written and performed over the years, showing changes in his world view, religious views, and personal views, and how music helped clarify what he had to do next.

The Quaker reading group, created as a memorial to George and Elizabeth Watson, has chosen to read and discuss the October 2014 issue of Friends Journal, “Experiences of Friends of Color”. Some of the articles are available online: friendsjournal.org . See Pat Jones to borrow a paper copy. We will read aloud and discuss, here, on Wed, Nov. 19th, 7 pm.
Spend your Thanksgiving at the Minneapolis Friends Meeting annual Thanksgiving worship and potluck gathering on November 27th, beginning at 4 pm. Look for the sign-up sheet next Sunday!
Offering boxes are located on small tables near the meetingroom doors. Please give as you are able. To meet our budget obligations, contributions need to average $2171 per week. Old Friends will meet at Twin Cities Friends Meeting tomorrow, Mon, Nov 3rd at noon for a potluck. Program following: Dennis Kane, retired CIA agent and St. Olaf professor will speak about World War II espionage.
“Whitewashed: Unmasking the World of Whiteness” will be shown this coming Sat, Nov 8th, 1-4 pm, at the American Friends Service Committee’s office, 1671 Summit Ave, St. Paul. This short film can evoke new ways of seeing and thinking about White privilege and systemic racism. In light of events from Ferguson, Missouri this summer, ongoing police brutality and school suspensions involving people of color, this is an opportunity to get connected and engaged with issues of white privilege and racism. Viewing, discussion, and activities focused on pointing the way forward for metro-area Friends on racial justice.To make accessible to people who are chemically sensitive: please avoid perfumes, hairspray, etc. If you need childcare, please let the planners know by Tues. November 4th.
Winona Friends have again invited us to their Thanksgiving potluck on Sunday, Nov. 23rd – St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 265 Lafayette Street. Worship at 10 a.m. with the meal to follow at approximately 11:30. There will be childcare, all ages of Friends are welcome. For more, call Lauren and Vernon.
There will be no second Tuesday worship in Bloomington this month, and there will be no Lunch Bunch in November. The next Lunch Bunch will be Weds, Dec 3.
Save the Date: Friends for a NonViolent World Holiday Fair, Fri, Dec 5th, 1-9 and Sat, Dec 6th, 10-4! Please come – and invite family, friends, neighbors, strangers on the street to this yearly, major, festive, affair! The Holiday Fair is an annual event, created as an FNVW fundraiser which has become much more – a special holiday gathering place for Twin Cities Quakers and FNVW constituents. It is a time for Quakers connect with Friends throughout the area AND it remains the major fundraiser for FNVW.
~Great vendors, scrumptious meals, and wonderful live music. FNVW receives 100% profit on all donated books, crafts, and Values Board items. Think creatively about what you can contribute!
~CRAFTS: Food items tend to sell well, but sew, knit, or paint to your heart’s content! No plants, please.

“Beyond the Divide,” a documentary about war and peace and finding common ground, will show at the Parkway Theater, 2PM, next Sunday, Nov. 9th. Highly recommended by Linda Harding, the film maker will be there for discussion afterwards.
